Expanding Massage Therapy Services at Spine Stretch Studio
The last several months have been more than challenging for us offering Massage Therapy services to our clients. We sadly said goodbye to Raissa who moved out of the area, and personal health injuries of two of our other therapists (oh…why must our therapists be so ambitious and physically active?!) prevented them from working and providing the superior health care we have all known to appreciate and heal from. We did the best we could to accommodate all of you with the limited availability that we had. Sascha even stepped in while on maternity leave during our busy holiday season in December to help out. We wish the best for them and full recoveries so they can continue running, horseback riding and even skydiving; living life to the fullest.
I am pleased to announce that after months of searching we have found a Massage Therapist that will be the perfect fit for the Spine Stretch Team. Michelle McDonough, RMT will be available beginning March 30th for Massage Therapy services. Michelle has been practicing Massage Therapy since 1998 (a rarity in this profession!) with extensive experience from all over the world. She is additionally certified in many modalities which include Reflexology, Reiki, Hot Stone, and Thai Massage. Her approach to treatment compliments what Spine Stretch Studio is known for: “An understanding of ones’ body helps us to maintain good health and prevent further issues.” Michelle will be available for Massage Therapy services daytime throughout the week and Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
Beginning in April, we also welcome the return of Sascha Kerr, RMT from maternity leave. Sascha gave birth to adorable twins in June of last year. Sascha has also been busy completing her provincial registration examinations with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. We are pleased to announce that she has successfully completed all of the requirements, and is waiting for approval to practice as an Acupuncturist (in addition to her RMT designation). Sascha will be accepting Acupuncture clients sometime in June. In the interim, Sascha is currently able to perform acupuncture as a modality/treatment option within the scope of practice as a Massage Therapist including: pain management, improving range of motion of the joints, restoring tissue health and relaxation. As an Acupuncturist, Sascha will be able to expand her scope of practice to treat a much wider variety of health issues including digestive, mental-emotional, stress, detox/addictions, skin ailments, gynaecological and many more dysfunctions. She is excited to finally be able to incorporate Chinese medicine into her current practice, and is looking forward to working with new and existing clients to help them achieve a more balanced state of health. Sascha will be available on Monday evenings and alternate Saturdays.
Veronica Biggar, RMT has been part of our team for a year now and continues to be available on Tuesdays and Fridays. Her 13 years of experience has been an incredible asset to her overall treatment plans and outcomes.
Massage Therapy appointment bookings can be made online or by calling the studio.
We look forward to seeing Michelle and Sascha in the studio in the coming weeks and being able to continue to offer the superior health care service that you have grown to expect from us.
